Congratulations! Mr. President… (country) enters Washington Accord.

It is a great privilege for (representing organization) to become part of this Accord whose members are accrediting engineering bodies of signatories. We are thankful to the Presidency for support and facilitation through (Country) High Commission in Canada.

Entry into Washington Accord has opened a new chapter of educational advancement and access to international employment opportunities for our engineering graduates. Every new entrant is a provisional member for two years, during which certain improvements are required to be undertaken to obtain permanent signatory status. Signatories of this Accord include, Australia, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, ,Singapore, Srilanka and India, and the previous provisional members are Germany and Russia, while Pakistan and Turkey got provisional member status in Ottawa meeting on June 25, 2010.

This day is not the end of this journey. Much hard work remains, therefore, (organization) need your valuable input, visionary guidance and support to move forward and undertake the future challenges for advancement of engineering education in (country).

I would, therefore, request that a (organization) Delegation may meet your good-self at your convenience for a brief presentation and to discuss the way forward.
